Laman 2008

I sempat pergi Laman 2008 organised by Kementerian Perumahan & Kerajaan Tempatan last month. Went there twice. First with Hanizah, second trip with Ida and Fahroe. First trip pergi siang, second trip pergi malam. And managed to see performance World Drum Festival during second trip. Itu memang best, live drums! Pictures as below :

Dino kartun & Dino pokok. (This pix reminds me of my friend Acha kat Trolak)

Nanti ada duit, boleh buat ni kat rumah Seremban, my mom sure suka punya:

Rasa-rasa tau tak ni gambar apa?

Ladies with drums:

My very happy face!

Thanks to my friend O.D. yang bagi VIP tour. Other pictures boleh tengok kat sini. Sorry, bateri dah kaput, so pakai snap aje apa yang ada.

Genting Trip

It was a 3 Days 2 Nights Genting Getaway that cost RM88.88 per pax. What did I get for RM88?

2 nights accommodation in First World Hotel
2 daily breakfast
1 free ticket for performance of DREAMZ at the Pavillion, Genting

The promotion is still on. See here. My colleagues (being Abby, Loga & PL) and myself got it during MATTA fair, we booked, but at last it was paid by one of our Sales Associates whom I always fight with every Monday. Hehehe. Ni Abby punya kerja lah ketuk mamat tu. But at the end, PL changed her mind, so left only 3 of us.

So, we left on Sunday afternoon at 2pm from KL Sentral. Took the bus, cost us RM3.30 to the Genting Skyway, and then paid another RM5 for the cable car. The cabel car journey was quite fast, thank God as I am afraid of heights. By the time we arrived, it was raining. We took our number and lepak outside drinking hot coffee and gossiping about office (hehehehe). It took us almost 3 hours to get our room keys. The check-in procedures at First World Hotel starts at 3pm. Imagine 6228 rooms to be processed. And there were many people from China & Arabs. We checked-in, lepak-lepak kejap and went to the Indoor Theme Park in the hotel itself. We had dinner at Pizza Hut and proceed with the show, DREAMZ.

The shops at the Indoor Theme park were still open at 1150pm and most people took the megasale opportunity to shop including myself. I found a backpack for RM15. After shopping, Abby & Loga insist that we go out for a walk. I was ?????????? Sejuk lah. I’m on my heels, without jacket (pandai sangat pegi Genting tak bawak kasut proper and my shawl), redah aja. We slept at 2am.

Next morning, after breakfast, I got myself a pair of new flat shoes. Murah & good quality. Then we went to the Outdoor Theme Park. Loga got 22% discount for using DIGI. I kena heret by those 2 for all the major rides. Semput kejap. Terasa melambung-lambung kat udara, lucky tak pengsan or muntah. Last I did this was ages ago in Australia, say 12 years back. But I had fun. Penat gelak & jerit sakan. I sempat lelap for an hour in the room that evening. They also have a cinema and bowling alley in First World Hotel. We watched Hellboy2.

Come 3rd day, I told my colleagues I am not going to anymore rides or games. Dah penat! By noon we checked-out, had lunch and balik with a happy feeling. Lega tak payah fikir pasal office. The only thing I did was to call the bank on Monday morning and gave the authority for my colleague to do BSP. Withing less then 20 minutes, semua settle.

Tips to go genting :
1) Jangan jadi macam aida : jangan pakai heels, jangan lupa bawak jacket. So pakai flat shoes.

2) Spare extra budget for food. Either you go to the food court or fastfood outlets, it will cost you about RM20- RM30 per meal per person. I had RM18 nasi campur.

3) For the Muslim, not all makan outlet are halal. They may be pork-free, but not necessary halal, although you can see Muslim staff at the food outlet, so ask first.

4) If you bring along your children, please be extra cautious and alert of their whereabouts. They can go crazy at the theme park both indoors and outdoors.

5) First World hotel is very basic. Cute & comfortable. The rooms are small and the provide small tv. But they have good clear channels and movie channels too.

I will go there again one fine day, probably with Hariz & Nurin. Tunggu diorang besar siket, baru boleh enjoy.

Dr Ikan

Last Sunday I went to Carrefour Midvalley. The shopping agenda (it was a necessary trip ok, not sesuka hati buang duit, had to get stuff for club/society/alumni which can be claim) finished early but the car sent for washing earlier was still not ready yet. So, while waiting, I went to Kenzo Reflexology & Fish Spa.

I asked the counter some details, and decided to try it. It cost RM38.00 for 30 minutes. The little fish had a great time with 2 pairs of very yummy big feet for 30 minutes. There were 3 size of “Dr Fish” – small, medium, and large. The first 2 minutes was quite challenging as you can really feel ticklish at your feet. Also the trauma looking at your feet being attacked by lots of tiny small fish. But after a while, it was ok. The little “masseurs” will nibble away the dead skin on your feet and that provides a relaxation massage with a little bit of tingling feel.

I did try the medium & large fish, but only for 30 seconds. I could not take it. You can really feel them bitting your feet! Kenzo spa also provides treatments for foot, hand, head and shoulder massage and selected outlets have Fish Spa full body treatment. Imagine you in a tub full of tiny fish nibbling on your body? Uhuh….

It is a suitable place for all ages. A good place to spend with your family too. I really had a great time that day.
