Jakarta

I just got back from my Jakarta trip. It was really a good trip.

What we did?

Eat, shop, sleep, eat, shop, sleep, eat, Shop, sleep…. literally for 4 days 3 nights! :)

DK enjoyed it very so much! So did I!

We arrived on Friday afternoon via Airasia flight. Makcik (DK’s aunt) fetch me, DK, and my parents in-law and went straight to The Ascott, Jakarta.

ascot

That night we visited Grand Indonesia, one of the very many big shopping malls in Jakarta. Jakarta is really heaven for big shopping malls. New ones, old ones, each mall will consist of 5-8 stories of very big floor plan of shops! Heaven for shopaholic like me :)

I bought quite a few things, mostly cotton materials. Couldn’t resist the temptations :) DK bought some batik shirt for himself, and we bought some Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt and souvenirs at HRC Jakarta.

Food was really good. We had nasi padang, sunda, I love the Mee Tarik, DK enjoyed sup buntot every single meal. The Ascott is situated right in the city, opposites the mall, Thamrin City is just opposite where we stayed.

I really had fun with my trip, it was a good break for both of us!

Wedding Theme Colours

Last Sunday ada acara merisik for one of my cousins. Ochu, my Maklang’s youngest daugther had a simple ceremony at her house in AU5D Ulu Kelang. It was merisik cum simple engagement ceremony. Date of the Wedding has been fixed in November this year. Everyone in our family is really looking forward for this wedding. The last wedding we had for my dad’s side family was mine :)

The theme colour for the wedding is also fixed for apple green. Kena pegi carik kain and tudung kaler hijau kat Jakarta lah this weekend

Nowadays, I noticed, most weddings will have natural or pastel colours for themes. I tak kisah apa kaler pun, terpulang kepada tuan rumah, hehehe. Ikut suka minat and budget masing2. Then family semua mesti pakai sedondon kan?

I remembered my wedding theme colour : Very Bright Red! :)

At first I wanted pastel blue, but DK wanted blue for his kenduri. Apa nak buat, dua-dua pun minat blue. So, I decided to go for bright red! I was contemplating between bright red or bright orange (biar betul Aida?? hehehe) but it was all depending on what “Sari” material my colleague bawak balik from India. I kirim kat Lina on her trip to India : Beli Kain Sari kaler bright red or bright orange for my baju kawen. Dia pun pening, hehehe. Ended, Lina bawak balik Sari kaler bright red! I SUKA! ngeh-ngeh-ngeh….

My mom was opposing it at first, my aunties sibuk suruh carik lace lah, even my wedding planner, hehehe. But i told them, my wedding, my kain, my kaler, my say! At last, semua mengalah. Madam Wedding Planner, my good friend, Aween, designed a simple wedding gown. Tapi dia nak I pakai ala-ala bollywood maharani lah pulak, hehehe. Puas ikut dia pegi Jakel cari bridal satin material to match the sari material.

Hasilnya…….. bak kata anak sedara saya “Merah nya Mak Ngah!”

Memang I mintak backdrop pelamin tu mixture of white & red… baru boleh contrast ngan my kaler baju

I suka tailor yang buat baju kawen ni, dia buat tak kembang sangat, just nice for me yang gebu ni:)
Not expensive, but the finishing was good. Selesa and sedap pakai. Susah nak cari tailor yang pandai buat baju untuk size XXL macam saya.

My family, all in red. Puas pujuk my brothers to pakai baju melayu on kenduri day. Dekat 2 bulan gak lah memujuk, hehehehe. My mom & sisters pakai baju sedondon. Kami tak pilih lace for them sebab tahu kenduri rumah nenek mesti panas, so, we search for material yang nice, ringan and serap peluh. Mama & I bought the materials at Alamoda Lagenda Heights Sungai Petani. My nieces dah tukar baju time ni. Amik gambar ni pun dah petang

To Buy Or Not To Buy?

Kepala pusing!

DK wants me to decide which house I want?

He has brought me to view many houses for the past few months -practically every other weekend. We saw the ones in Damansara, Sungai Buloh, Wangsa Maju, Puchong, Mont Kiara, tengok rumah besar, tengok rumah kecik, tengok rumah semi-D, tengok rumah tingkat-tingat, service appartment etc…… and now he wants me to decide! Sigh!!!!! I asked him to decide, but he said, nope, I have to make the decision. Duh….

I cannot decide!

Kejap I rasa I want the apartment, kejap the terrace house, so does the semi-D in Sungai Buloh, semua mahu!!!! :)

Reason being, while he has the funds, or he will use it for other things he planned. If I don’t decide now, then I still have to rent the current house as staying in Shah Alam is NOT an option for me. Tak sanggup go through the jam every morning!

Actually my heart is with 2 places now. Both are in Bukit Antarabangsa where I stay now. One is the apartment, one is a terrace house. Both are more or less 1300sqft. I feel comfortable in this area. Although a lot of people asking “takde tanah runtuh ke?” but I still prefer here. Convenient for me, but with the additional developments currently, it will somehow effects more tanah runtuh.

Now…. back to question…. which one?
