Tak jadi lelong

Alhamdulillah, rumah tak jadi kena lelong…..

Last Friday my house owner called all the way from Dubai to inform me that the problem dah settle with bank. So, I can stay and no need to move. Yeay!!! So I will start my house clearing and renovation soon. DK and I had cleared the semak in backyard. This weekend we are throwing things away. Found someone who is willing to take all the unwanted furniture to be disposed. Nampak gaya kena mengemas rumah lah this weekend.

Nothing much exciting in life this past one week, am busy with work. But managed to went for movie… tengok Khurafat. Memang suspense. Dah lah tengok movie tengah malam :)

Got free tickets The Green Hornet last Monday, premier show at Wangsa Walk, I went with DK’s siblings. DK bought tickets for Muzikal Tun Mahathir, so, saya nak pegi tengok this Saturday night.

Can’t wait for the long weekend next week!

Rumah Kena Lelong

Sigh…….

Last Monday I pegi HKL to do my follow-up test, the usual, amik darah, x-ray, stress test etc-etc.

Balik rumah, nampak satu kertas dilekatkan pada gate, bila amik and tengok and baca……. it was a notice from Majlis Daerah Gombak, Pejabat Tanah menyatakan yang rumah yang I tinggal sekarang akan dilelong pada 27th January 2011. Nganga kejap……

I called the lawyer office (ada office number dalam notice tu)to enquire further as it is a case between my house owner and the bank. And told them that house owner is not in Malaysia and let me know the outcome of the auction as I need time to move out from the 2 and half storey house. I can’t just vacate the house in a week. Dah lah banyak barang dalam rumah tu (seriously banyak…..)

I dah email my house owner and now a bit panicking sebab dia and wife belum reply. My last conversation with them was in November after I came back from my Honeymoon. They confirm that I can still rent the place with hubby at least for the next 5 years as they will not be coming back that soon. And in between if I nak beli rumah lain, to notify them earlier so that they can make plans to rent the house to others. Dk and I dah bincang and decided to stay and repair apa yang patut and pelan2 find a house of our own. Dk has an apartment in Shah Alam in which he is renting out (but now kena cari tenant baru sebab the last tenant baru je pindah), we plan to sell the house as soon as we figure where we want to settle down for good. We made plans to throw away some of all old furniture, it took me 4 weeks to get someone who is willing to throw away the stuff (with a fee of RM350 to get rid katil, almari, dapur, tv, sofa, table etc-etc) And we already got the cost to repaint the grill, the house gate, to cut the pokok pinang depan rumah, betulkan dapur belakang and paint the front wall….

The first job, to throw away the barang2 sepatutnya weekend ni, tapi I cancel dulu sebab kalau ended up I kena pindah rumah, might as well save the money and buat sekali gus. I really hope the house owner will reply soon and hopefully dia boleh settle apa problemnya and I tak payah move out. The stress of pindah rumah is something I am not looking forward too at this moment. But if kena pindah jugak, I have too as it is not my house hence I have no say. Although the process for house auction ni with new buyer will take about 2 months, I need to scout around from now to avoid the kelam kabut later.

A place to stay??? We have 2 options. BUT… where to put my barang2 yang banyak tu? I have 6 almari!!!!
DK’s apartment is small, 800sqft ja, and it is a 1 bedroom unit… and it is fully furnished. Ada sofa, meja makan, kitchen cabinet, katil, almari and a dresser. Yang takde cuma the white goods like fridge and washing machine. My stuff definately cannot fit in. My options are send all the things to Seremban and stay over in DK’s apartment or my MIL house (our room is big and comfortable) OR start finding our own place now. Rather than renting another place, we might as well buy a new one…. and we have to sell of DK’s apartment soon…

Aiyoh… Pening now!

Meeting Family

Hi… How was your weekend? Mine was great. It felt like Hari Raya visiting family and relatives over last weekend. On Saturday I went to DK’s cousin’s house in Bangi. She had a birthday party for her daughter. The Friday before the party, I lepak at KLCC searching for birthday present. I bought the birthday girl a barbie watch, glad she like it. I met some new cousins, chat and got to know a bit more of everyone who was there. After maghrib I went to Equine park, to adik’s house. My parents were in KL last weekend, they put up a night at adik’s that Saturday. We had dinner (perut penuh bday party, tapi still kena makan as SIL (Emma) made dinner) Dk’s sister tag along, and my elder brother, ayong, and his family were there too. Riuh! We borak, makan, borak, played ps3, tengok, testing and beli tudung yang Emma jual, makan again. I wish my sister and her hubby were there too. We left adik’s house at 1am.

The next morning I plan to wake up early but I was too tired. DK woke me up at 630am, I snooze in again until 8am, by that time DK went back to sleep, and I joined him. At 9am DK woke me up and I gave him my “Jap…. gimme 5 minute” but melarat-larat sampai 10am baru I betul-betul boleh bangun. Had my bath, made murtabak for breakfast. Then I started cooking. Made beef pie, beef soup, fried spaghati, made brucheta and roast chicken. In between did laundry and mop the house. My friends, Iza and Sarah, came around 5pm with ice creams and putu bambu, and we all had fun eating and chatting. My parents came around 6pm, my friends left around maghrib.

My mom wanted to see her siblings, so I got 3 of my aunts to come to my house for supper. They arrived around 930pm and stayed until 12 midnight. Another session of makan and chat. Aunty yot brought my wedding gift, I got a nice lamp. Nanti nak letak at my bedside table. Luckly I was fasting yesterday, kalau tak, my perut sure explode due to the many rounds of eating over the weekend.
