My dad is going to kill me if he reads this, hehehehehe.

Yeah, this is what I feel at this very moment, the thought of Kawen Lari. Easy what, just go and get married and skip the preparation process, hehehehe. Wali? I can heret my brother with me. 2 days after the merisik agenda, both me and and my darling K felt the pressure. Both our mothers got their engine started, mama actually bought so many things last week when she was in KL.

I was on the phone with Khairul last week, and I could sense he sounded so stress with this and that. I asked him what’s with the tone? Stress already? He said, yeah, banyak nya benda nak buat. That is when I said : “Jom, kita kawen lari nak? Tak yah susah2 nak prepare segala benda, yang penting, we are married and everyone is happy” I wished he had replied : JOM!, but instead, him, always being the wise one said : “That is very tempting dear, but NO, we can’t do that. Unless you want your dad to take out his gun and my father keluar parang”

Oh dear, we are back to square one! Hehehehe.

Although the kenduri is after raya, but I just realise that there are so many things to prepare! Ouchh… I have made a very-very-very-very-very-very-very-very long list. Talking, thinking, discussing about the engagement kenduri pun is already exhausting! And looking at the invitation list??? Aiyoh, sangat panjang. My dad said : “alang2 jemputan ramai for tunang, panggil tok kadi terus!” Oh, no way father, not yet

Babah’s immediate family is already a very long list, mom’s side lagi, Khairul’s family, our friends. And for the wedding, it is such an impossible thing for me to do at Dewan, apa lagi buat kat hotel. With that very long guest list, I think I buat kat rumah saja. Perhaps it will not be as grand if we do it in hotel, but I am sure it will be meriah, and most important, all the family and friends are there to share my happy day.

My mom has appointed aunty Yot to be head of everything, hence I have to liase with her for every single detail. Mama is in SP, and she comes back every 3 weeks I guess, so, not enough time for her to look into every single detail. Past 2 weekend, I’ve been to many shops with Aunty Yot survey things, buying things, ordering things, etc-etc-etc. And I realised that I am a very fussy person. During adik and kakteh’s wedding, I was just the coordinator, I don’t decide, I leave that to mom. My job was to make sure everything goes as plan. But now, I want to know everything, from the colour, to its material, bla-bla-bla. Mom told me that she wanted to get something nice for the groom’s family as doorgift during akad nikah ceromony. Usually, I will just say, ok mama, whatever you like is fine with me. But this time I told mama, I want to look at the sample first. If it does not suit my liking, then it is a NO. Now mama yang tensen, hehehehe.

But I thank God I have already many people willing to volunteer. Last Sunday, I got my friend to come to my opah’s house to have a look at the place and discuss the decorations for the small engagement we will have soon. Nasib baik my friend, a wedding planner, can see eye to eye with aunty yot. If they cannot agree, I die!!! Hehehehe. And mom calls me everyday, telling me this and that, what she wants, what she wants me to buy. My weekends are busy doing for preparation, but will curi masa go dating will darling K

We are going kursus kawen this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. Friday is a public holiday, hence I will use it to cari barang lagi with Aunty Yot. Babah kept reminding me, be moderate at all times, not to waste, yang penting, semua selamat, tak payah membazir or berlebih-lebihan, I just hope mama understands that. The thing is, she has been waiting for me to kawen for a long time, and this is her last kenduri of her children, so I know she will make sure she gets what she wants. Aiyoh!

Ok, chow. Malam ni balik lambat lagi, must stop this, every night going out meeting people, tengok wayang lah, makan lah. Hehehehe.

Alhamdulillah, semuanya berjalan lancar semalam, on Sunday, 14th feb 2010. Khairul Adlan and family came to my opah’s house yesterday. The main agenda was supposed for both family to get to know each other, but somehow, it turned out lebih meriah dari jangkaan. The night before, mama, aunty yot & aunty dah mendera kitorang (me, kakteh and azrin-my BIL) mengemas rumah. I did make a statement, ini macam punya gaya, baik bat kenduri tunang terus. My dad jawab, panggil tok kadi, nikah terus… and I was… eerrr….not that soon father.

Come the day, Sunday morning, busy memanjang buat itu ini, especially in kitchen. Mom decided to ask all family members to come later that day for a family gathering. By 3pm, Khairul arrived with his family. As I greet them, I saw got 3 dulang- tepak sirih, buah, and kuih. I tengok2 gitu saja, takkan lah nak investigate time tu jugak kan? hehehehe.

As soon as everyone was seated in living room, I went straight to kitchen to help my aunts with the food preparation. Khairul came with his parents and siblings. Tengah-tengah I nak buat air, my mother came down as said : “kakngah, wash your hand, lap your face and come upstairs now” I was like…. eeerrr…. what is happening?

As soon as I naik, everyone was there (my aunties, uncles and cousins), and saw a chair arranged right next to Khairul’s mother. Rupanya nak sarung gelang lah pulak. I was like…. eerrr…eeerrr…. did not expect that. I did tell him, no cincin risik, tak payah, get a nice and big ring for our engagement & wedding nanti. Mamat cakap ok, with a strong note jangan ungkit in next 10 years that I didn’t get any cincin merisik, but instead, he came with a white gold bracelet. He knows how crazy I am with bracelets and that I have quite a number of collections of many types of bracelets, so, he got me one, instead of the ring. It was a simple one, but I loved it very much! Nasib baik my dad pesan suruh pakai baju kurung. I gave him the look “kenapa you tak cakap awal2 nak kasi bracelet, kalau I tahu, I pegi buat manicure pagi tu, dah lah telapak tangan ni kulit pecah2 due to allergy & eczema, sabar je lah” and he replied with a look “you cakap tak payah kasi cincin, tapi you tak cakap tak boleh nak kasi bracelet. I punya suka lah I nak kasi apa kat darling I for merisik and Valentine day”

After the sarung gelang ceremony, both parents fixed the dates, the hantaran, mas kawin and so forth. Engagement is fixed on 6th June, and wedding will be in October this year. Once everthing discussed, after so much negotiations by the parents for us to percepatkan the nikah, but somehow, we both manegd to convinced them that it should be October, hehehehe. Ikut diorang, Jun kira settle semua, hehehehe.

After that, of course, makan time, the best part. Khairul stayed a bit longer, meeting all cousins and uncles and aunties who arrived much later. Future family in-law of mine are ver sporting people, hehehehe.

I had a great Valentine day this year, with the surprise of bracelet and more meaningful event. That night, later, both of us went out for a midnight movie, ended the day to much of another surprise from him. Thank you dear, I will always remember it for the rest of my life.

And thank you to all my family members who made it happen yesterday. Now, need to focus on the upcoming events. I have like 4 months to diet, to look good i the pix, hehehehe.

Lupa nak cakap, I got myself a Bally Handbag this morning from anak boss. This is as a reward pulun siapkan kerja on time. Yeay!!!!! She actually bought it when she went to UK last year, but she kept it, eagerly waiting I siapkan the task, hehehe. I had no idea. But am glad I got it this morning, so can parade it during the CNY holidays, lalalalala.

And I also got the material I kirim through my friend from India. I asked her to get Sari material, bright red colour, I want to use it for my wedding later this year. And she bought 2…. Couldn’t decide which one I wanted, so I took both! Hehehehe. Now, to get the good tailor!

I’ve decided the theme colour will be red, biar ceria. Although ramai yang mintak lilac or purple, I can still have that for the engagement. Groom side will definately be blue, no argument about it.

Jap…… Aida Yurani nak kawen????? Hehehehe, yeah, that is very true! Bila??? Hmmm…. I have my dates, now just anxiously waiting that both parents will agree on it. Marrying who???? Hehehehe, my dearest darling batman! :p

Ok, ok, more details I will reveal after 14th Feb, the day both parents get together, discuss, decide and fix everything.
