Holding on to you…. by Terence Trent D’Arby

I left the east side for a west coast beauty
A girl who burned my thoughts like kisses
She was down by street decree
She swore she’d pull my best years out of me
Fat painted lips on a live wire beauty
A tangerine girl with tambourine eyes
Her face was my favourite magazine
Her body was my favourite book to read

They say that all poets must have and unrequited love
As all lovers must have thought provoking fears

But holding on to you means letting go on pain
Means letting go of tears
Means letting go of rain
Means letting go of what’s not real
Holding on to you

I left the rough side for a seaside baby
A chamomile smile that pouts on cue
For every moment I breathe her sigh
Her bosom contains my sweet alibi
In an emotional mist she breathes in fog
And breathes it out as garden flowers
Why me of all the tough talking boys?
I guess she heard my heartbeat through the noise

They say that all poets must have an unrequited love
As all lovers must have thought provoking fears

But holding on to you means letting go of pain
Means letting go of tears
Means letting go of the rain
Holding on to you
Means letting sorrows heal
Means letting go of what’s not real
Holding on to you

They say that all poets must have an unrequited love
As all lovers I’m sure must have thought provoking fears

But holding on to you means letting sorrows heal
Means letting go of what’s not real
Holding on to you

I left the east coast for a west coast beauty
A woman who burned my thoughts like kisses
She was down by street decree
She swore she’d pull my best years out of me

Fat wet lips on a sea salt canvas
Goodbye Picasso hello Dolly/Dali
The soil is fertile where her footsteps trod
She’s my new religion she’s all I got

They say that all poets must have an unrequited love
As all lovers I’m sure must have thought provoking fears

But holding on to you means letting go of pain
Means letting go of tears
Means letting go of rain
Means letting sorrows heal
It means letting go

Forgetful & Clumsy Aida

Aida Yurani memang seorang yang clumsy and pelupa. Bila dah tak jumpa or hilang benda/orang yang dicari, mula lah nak mengelabah. Lepas tu buat muka cebek, lepas tu nangis. Aiyoh, bila nak berubah ni? Umur dah nak masuk 34 tahun this year, perangai kalah Nurin & Sofea. Hehehehe.

Okay, apa masalah kali ni? Last week I cuti panjang. Dari hari Jumaat sampai Selasa (half day). Pergi bercuti sakan. Arrived home on Monday late night. Sampai rumah, first thing I ambil keluar dari kereta my supir are
1) House keys
2) My spare house keys
3) My car keys
4) My second handphone

I put all of them in one plastic bag and put straight in my bedroom so I will not forget it. At nigt, before going to bed, I took the spare house keys, my handphone and put it at the side table, and noted the car keys still in the plastic bag. Come next morning, as I was getting ready for work, I pun nak ambil kunci kereta, tapi tak jumpa2 pulak. Macam mana malam tadi ada, sampai pagi dah takde? Aiyoh….

Habis semua I punggah, bag baju, handbag that I used during the vacation, the paper back my mom gave, in the fridge (I bought few things and kept in plastick in fridge), even in tong sampah (in case i threw it along with some sampah I cleared the night before). Tapi tak jumpa jugak. Called Mr. F, asked him kalau2 I tertinggal dalam his car, tercicir kat bawah ke, tapi takde pun. :(

I had a spare key at home, tapi alarm dah rosak, hence kalau I bukak, mesti bising punya. I tumpang my neighbour’s car to LRT Wangsa Maju. Took a cab and masuk office. Semalam, habis kerja, had to tumpang Mr. F balik. Had dinner at KLCC with Mr. F ARD & his girlfriend. Mr. ARD is expert in cars. Dia pun ikut sama balik hantar rumah nak check kereta.

Bukak kereta ja, alarm bunyi bising, Mr. ARD start the engine, terus alarm senyap. Carik button emergency alarm dalam kereta tak jumpa2. Itu sangat confuse. Sepatut mesti ada, tapi takde pulak. After a while, Mr. ARD said, should be okay, can use the key, but not to use the alarm, but to use the stoplock as security. Then to send the car to Perodua and get them to check.

Mr. F & me search the house and his car again for the key, but tak jumpa.

Now, where is my car key??????
