Big Apple v JCo v Krispy Kreme

Since I can’t spend that much on food now, I guess I will be talking about food now in this blog, to overcome the frustration of no eating out. Hehehehehe.
Ok, what is with Malaysians crazy over donuts? Some people will que up for 30 minutes just to buy donuts? I’ve join the Q at JCo only once, nak teman kak lin punya pasal. This was about 3 weeks ago, and it took us 20 minutes. Prior to that I get people to que up/buy for me (see…. I told you I ni memang mengada, hehehe). In KL, I think JCo is more famous than Big Apple. The que is still long at 830pm. Last night I went to The Curve, the Big Apple outlet has no one there. I took my own sweet time to select which donut I wanted, not for myself ok? It was for our meeting this morning, which I only ate 1 piece, :)
Taste wise, of course Krispy Kreme is the best. But unfortunately, it is not sold in Malaysia. But you can get it in Jakarta. Between JCo & Big Apple, I prefer JCo. Big Apple kurang umph!. Price wise is more or less the same. 1 dozen at Jco will cost you about RM16.50 while Big Apple is selling at RM17.00. And of course they do sell coffee, ice chocolates, etc which most of us are tempted to buy. Macam mana nak kurus ni????
But as my Kaklong Shila said : Donuts are like coffee, chocolates & men, the more you resist them, the more they are everywhere! 
Note to Wawa : Na kirim Jco? Kalau sempat I tapau, but by that time dah tak sedap dah?

it’s ok.. no need to tapau for me. i agree.. by the time we meet.. nanti dah tak sedap…
tak pe.. i will wait till my trip to KL in July. then i makan Jco Puas Puas..
Krispy Kreme is also my favorite when i was in US. Yummy.
one of my close friend ..siap tak nak balik Malaysia.. as kat sini tak de Krispy Kreme. So my friend still kerja kat US.

Kegawatan ekonomi should force us to put out donut and focus on cucur keria.

What’s so hot about donuts anyway? Takde benda lah. Come on, let’s see:
RM16.50/RM17.00 = 12 donuts.
OTOH, RM16.50/RM17.00 = boleh beli 1 beg plastik besar containing goreng pisang, keledek, spiced tempe goreng with chili/black pepper sauce…

bought a dozen of big apple baru-bari ni … with the kids, selepas tengok Hulk .. ha..ha.. sorry tak jemput. kak lin pun tak ikut
anyway, big apple pun sedap. mungkin lagi sedap dari jco. it’s not which one is better, it’s the moment you enjoy the food that make it great

ilusimimpi : sila2 lah beli krispe kreme tu bawak balik utk saya. kalau beli portion utk paroe pun, bak mai kat saya, nanti tunggu dia balik dr lumut dah tak sedap. oh… leleh air liur dah ni teringat krispe kreme!

Saturday siang ada plan, nak keluar.
Nak makan apa? Ayam Ribena? Ayam panggang? (rumah aku ada oven, hehehe) Stew / Pot Roast ayam?
But no briani laa kot, I am now consuming brown rice only, kat rumah takde basmati anymore. Dalam fridge dah memang ada ayam and daging.
Sweet Sour Pork pun boleh, hehehehehe

ayam ribena pun nak, ayam panggang pun nak, stew/pot roast ayam pun nak, err…errr… sweet sour pork pun nak. Me alone or the whole gang? Err… Madam S reads this blog, so kalau kau tak ajak dia, tak tau… tak tau….

Weekend depan balik kampung, adik As kawin…
weekend ni masak gitu2 je, so kalau tambah Aida sorang oklah, kalau the whole gang dah kira kenduri tu.. kena betul2 plan as the food has to be lavish and banyak, plus now has to add some kids dishes, esp tak pedas.
Nanti dululah camtu, let me finish with my sis-in-law weddings dulu…
Actually if its a kenduri like party, I’d rather do it after my mom habis berkabung/edah. Madam S understands.. in fact we have talked about this. She agreed that I need my mourning period before my big makan-makan.
