Dad’s birthday, Mom’s mother’s day, Aida’s no diet’s day

Today is dad’s 64th birthday, and so happen it is Mother’s day too. Unfortunately non of my siblings are in SP. Adik is in Japan, sampai malam karang. I had class to attend, ayong is taking a break to spend time with his children after 2 weeks working non-stop, kakteh??? I don’t know mana itu minah. Should be in Taiping. However, my parents are coming to KL next week, so we will celebrate it next week. Ayong’s birthday coming, Hariz too, so all in at one go. Need to coordinate with the siblings soon.

My wish for babah : Semoga diberi kesihatan yang baik untuk hari-hari akan datang. Jangan lupa makan ubat.

My wish for mama : Mesti jaga kesihatan, nanti tak larat nak buat kenduri kawin soon…

I spend the weekend attending classes for RAE (Radio Amateur Examinaation). Sure my brothers will say WHAT???? Habis dah adik aku kena racun? Hehehehe. No worries, I attended the class je, not sitting for exam. Timing cun to attend the class, I registered last Tuesday aje pun. So at this moment, otak tengah tepu with electronics definations, amateur radio gadgets and so on. Tak lah susah sangat. Nanti dah pandai, boleh letak tips kat blog ni. If not asyik cakap pasal makan-makan saje. Hehehehe. Even I did not expect to see myself attending any of RAE classes or yang sekongkol dengannya. Even panglima was surprised to see me there. After 3 years knowing about Amateur Radio and making friends with people who are really in love with the gadgets (believe me, kalau mamat 9W2BBS tu tau I bawak keta dia and accident kat memana, he will first ask how’s the condition of the car and his gadgets, then only, if he remembers, he will ask how’s my condition) baru lah I nak pergi kelas. Although panglima said “finally”, I don’t think I will take the exam soon. Tengok lah, say another 3 years????? Hehehehe.

I was in class from 0830-0530 both Saturday & Sunday. They charge RM100 for non-member, and RM80 for member of MARES (Malaysia Amateur Radio Emergency Service). Siap bagi reading materials and food. So I had full meal course for 2 days. Siap breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea. Last night after class, went to their club house for a while, send some stuffs, then of to Taman Sungai Ramal, Kajang to have dinner. What I had for dinner? Bugger ayam special blackpepper. Very yummy. If you happen to get lost in Kajang area at night and your perut is very lapar, carik Taman Sungai Ramal, ada stall burger jual burger sedap kat situ. If you are from plus highway, after toll, take the most left exit to Kajang town. You will see entrance to Taman Sungai Ramal on your left. At the junction, turn right, the stall if near the entrance (nampak tepi jalan). If you turn left at the entrance you will see food court. There were 8 of us last night, cost RM53 (5 guys ate 2 special burgers each and air sorang 2). I’ve been there twice, and not because I sesat kat Kajang, but memang pegi all the way to eat burger. (????, kat bukit antarabangsa macam takde stall jual burger?) Tapi burger ni speciallity is its blackpepper sause. Very yummy.

Tonight’s dinner? Makan double bigmac kat McDonald Amcorp Mall tadi. There goes my diet 2 hari. Errrggghhh….. that will be my first and last makan double bigmac. Too much of meat patty, naik muak. Tu pun share, tapi kena habis kan jugak. Orang kat Myanmar tu takde food supply after ribut, takkan nak lavish buang food kat sini? Ish-ish.

Besok work. Oh……. Nak mandi now, then sleep!

Mother to 5+1 kids for one night

I was at kaklong shila’s (my cousin) house last night. Had to babysit her children while she has a quiet getaway with hubby (ye lah tu kaklong cuti tapi kerja, hehehehehe). I arrived her house quite late, around 1030pm from work. The kids, 5 of them, plus their cousin, Yana, daughter of Bangpol (my cousin, shila’s brother) were still awake. Their opah (grandmother) who was around last night took 30 minutes to make sure everyone sleeps! Johan, the youngest, was annoyed with one of his sisters, and he did not want to sleep. He just sat there quietly, with his sad face, refused to move from his spot. Tried many things to cheer him up, including making jokes, funny faces, dia buat dek aja. At last I said : “Eh budak kecik, takde suara ye? Tak boleh cakap ke? Sape nama?” Out of sudden he laughed and asked me to carry him. He is 6 years old, and is very heavy!!! Put him to bed, make some funny faces, then I went to check on the other girls.

This morning, I woke up very early. Nadine came to the room and said : “Aunty Aida, what do you want for breakfast? We are ordering McDonalds” I was, “Now? at 630am in the morning?”

Nadine :”Yes, they do deliver for breakfast. And our van is coming at 720am for school, so I need to order now!” I ordered hotcakes for myself, went to check the girls are ready (One was having her bath, the other 2 chatting on the bed. They were very awake at 630am in the morning!!!)

Turun bawah : “Johan, kenapa tak mandi lagi?” He replied with his muka seposen “I don’t mandi in the morning, I just brush my teeth and my face.” I said : “No, mesti mandi for school, meh aunty aida give you a bath?” The small guy say ” NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Aiyak….. Okay lah, no mandi then. Got the maid to brush his teeth and wash his face. Nanti dia merajuk tak nak pergi sekolah, lagi aku parah. And at that point I noticed Sarah (the 2nd daughter) was not around. Nadine said Sarah is not well, not going to school.

Her body was hot, she was crying. Poor baby. Gave her bread to eat, so I can give her panadol, but she threw out after one bite of bread. Cleared the mess, asked her to lie down. By this time, McDonald arrived, paid RM50 for 6 kids + 2 adults breakfast meal. Made everyone eat, check everyone’s bag, soon it was already 720am, van arrived, hugs & kisses to everyone, off they went.

Took Sarah to clinic, We were there for an hour, tunggu doktor tak sampai lagi (the doctor is my aunty, the kids grand-aunt), send her home. Gave her medicine, gave instruction to the maid, then only I left for work. Arrived office at 930am.

Aida…… you sure nak babycrave jugak?????????

Hehehehe…….. of course!!!!!!!!!!!

Kaklong shila : Your kids are great! 5 of them, like this everyday??? Caya lah.

Diet & Love Letter

I thought I will be getting my love letter from IATA to increase our BG in few weeks time. But it seems that IATA really missed me and can’t wait to make my life more miserable. I received their fax yesterday evening. Must top-up BG RM260k by 9th June. Oh dear me! Must work extra hard and extra smart for this 260k. Aiyoyoyo. And not forgeting my super gaban powers to collect the money. Hehehehe. Chairman sudah sound : Aida, start collect from now, don’t wait till last minute. I reminded him to start impose limit to that particular favourite associate of his, or forever he will make my life & his life miserable.

I don’t blame IATA for imposing the BG as the number of travel agents defaulting is very large. However, they should also reimplement the calculation of BG as not to burden us the travel agents. And airlines are becoming more strict now that they need us to pay first once our weekly tickets stock are utilised should current week sales exceeds our current BG with IATA. How to survive like this? If anyone of you thought that owing a travel agent is such a great thing, getting all the monies from clients for tickets sold, think again. You don’t make that much like retail industry, or other service based company. Nowadays, the most you can mark-up is about 2% of the airfare(excluding airport tax ye… airport tax bagi kat airport, bukan kita punya). You can make more, 10% – 20 % from your corporate clients, but if they pay late, or very late like some of mine, forget it. Nak tekan2 lebih kat clients, they will buy from other travel agents. Don’t be surprised that there are travel agents that sell below market value, at net or below cost to undercut each other. There are? Yes! I wonder how they survive? But if I sell per ticket RM100 margin, how much I have to sell per month to cover salary, overheads and other miscellaneous? Kengkawan asyik mintak discount aje??? :p, and hutang pulak?? Ish-ish-ish.

I have set some plans and work schedule to get that extra RM260k, besides the weekly BSP payment on Monday and daily/monthly cashflow. Wish me luck!

I didn’t eat much today. Strictly on a diet! (Ye lah tu…. hehehehe) I had too, felt stomach bloated this morning. (Memang bloated pun macam pregnant 5 bulan, hehehehe) Yesterday, Loga, one of my despatch treat me & AB nasi lemak for breakfast. He got reward from boss the day before for his continuously good work, which I am very happy, susah nak dapat despatch tak banyak songeh macam Loga ni. Then at noon, I had fish & chip for lunch. I thought I just skip dinner, but Paroe brought back my favourite fried rice from Kuching pulak. Last night, reached home after midnight from LCCT, reheat the rice and I ate at 1am. Couldn’t resist, it has been a long time I tasted the fried rice.

So today diet! Oat for breakfast, papaya and starfruit for lunch, and oat again for dinner (I hope, kalau tak kena racun makan bigMac later tonight)
