Tingkap tu terbukak lagi……

I think ramai yang tahu pasal kes rumah masuk pencuri at my old blogspot channel 11point5 dulu. Last night the same incident jadi lagik. I arrived home quite late, almost 11pm. Pergi Puchong ada meeting Anseri, this Saturday ada AGM, seperti biasa saya menjalankan tugas menjadi secreatry kepada Mr Secretary, Mr Treasurer, and Mr President too. Met them last night for signing accounts purpose. Anyway, dalam keletihan balik rumah, turun kereta nak bukak gate, I notice tingkap 3rd Floor rumah sebelah terbuka luas and lampu terpasang.

My neighbour, Madam S and family, takde rumah for few days. She left her house key with me. I masuk dulu, amik kunci and terus pergi rumah sebelah lagi satu and called the tuan rumah. Unfortunately, Kak Miah kata Abang Rohaizat takde, he has left for Penang. Me being penakut although badan aje besar, and Kak Miah yang sememangnya penakut memang tidak berani lah nak masuk rumah Sarah tu, dah lah the night before kak Miah story kata dengar macam2 bunyi, I lagi lah takut. So I decided to call my friend Ray who stays about 4km away from my house, on the other side of Bukit Antarabangsa. But he was still on his way back to KL. I knew dia kat outstation jugak, but I was hoping that dia dah sampai. But he said, worst scenario, bila dia sampai at 1am, he will come and see the house dulu, baru balik rumah. I said ok, but will think of something else. I pun pergi rumah lagi satu, the other side of Sarah’s house. Tapi mamat tu pun takde rumah, mana lah semua orang pergi ni. Only bapak dia aje yang ada, tapi dia bagi alasan pulak kata rumah dah pasang alarm. I was quite annoyed, kalau ye pun dah pasang alarm, tak boleh ke switch off kejap, tolong kita 2 orang perempuan ni, and then masuk balik and switch on balik the alarm? Takde semangat kejiranan langsung. Dah lah kau kidnap tong sampah jiran, pastu pakai parking space jiran, jiran mintak tolong buat-buat tak tau pulak, ish-ish-ish.

Nak telefon Keirul, dia pun dah pindah Wangsa Maju, jauh lah pulak, tapi I told Kak Miah, call aje lah, dari tingkap tu terbukak and mengundang suspicious orang yang lalu lalang. Nak tunggu hari siang, kalau tak pencuri masuk, binatang pun akan masuk, like monyet & tupai & musang & kuching & burung dan lain-lain lagi. Tapi, as I was about to call Keirul, I teringat pulak si Hamid who stays the road behind my house. Call 2 kali dia tak pick up, ni sah dah tido ni, but he called me back. I told him what happened, less than 5 minutes he was at my house already.

Bukak pintu, naik atas, Hamid pun sama gak macam the guys from previous episode, main nak redah aje naik atas tak bawak apa2 protection. Me, as usual, took the payung (this time payung baru lagi, kaler merah) and followed him upstairs while Kak Miah and Hamid’s daughter waited downstairs. Closed the window, checked the rooms and turun balik. Locked the doors back, Hamid & daughter balik, kak Miah pun balik, I masuk rumah, checked my 3rd floor, everything looked fine. I switched on all lights, and had my bath, called Ray to tell him no need to stop by, and went to sleep. Tak boleh lena, I think almost 1am jugak baru nak lena, tetiba rasa spooky.

This morning, tengok rumah sebelah okay, my house pun ok. Need to tell Sarah to fix the window once they are back home.

To Hamid & daughter & Kak Miah : Sorry to kacau korang tidur, and really appreciate the help.

To the tingkap : Duduk diam2 and stay close rapat2. Kalau ye pun angin kuat, kau jangan nak gatal2 buat2 terbukak, bagi aku trauma aje malam2 tak leh tido!

The Long Weekend : Episod My Parents

My parents came down to KL last Friday for the long weekend. Mom went for her medical check-up in Penang that Friday morning, then she, dad and ayong left for KL. They arrived Sungai Buloh quite early, but only reached my house almost midnight after attending to their grandchildren and visited my grandmother (nenek – my dad’s mother) in Gombak. I made them breakfast the next morning before going to work and settled my car. My mother spent that Saturday Morning clearing off my garden, yeay! Thanks mom! and also sorted my bills and put them in the files. My mother is a very fussy lady and very organised, I can never be like her, although Dad always say that I am mom in the making. Hehehe.

They went for a wedding in Taman Melati, Gombak before meeting up with their siblings at Nenek’s house to discuss about my sister’s wedding in October. At night all of us went to Kunang-kunang for dinner. There were about 20 of us including 3 kids. My siblings and spouses, Aunty Dah & Chik, Adik brought along his MIL, my sister tagged along her friend Ashwin who came from Mauritius for work, and there were also my parents’ old friends who mom insisted that they have to join us for dinner. Ordered so many food, the bill came about RM324 which I would like to thank my siblings for their contribution. Kakteh brought cakes from Secret Recipe to celebrate dad’s belated birthday and also both my brother’s and nephew’s coming birthday this month. The cake was written : Happy Birthday Atuk, Ayah & Hariz!. Adik bought a watch for dad which all my siblings and spouses shared the cost of it, it was quite an expensive watch. We were there almost 3 hours, eating, chatting, picture taking, sakat each other. The kids, Hariz & Nurin were very excited as they were looking forward to overnight at my house that night.

We did not go home straight, instead we went to Danau Kota Bazaria Larut Malam. It is a late night market selling so many things at cheap price. But you need to be carefull, do inspect the goods first before paying. Ashwin bought 2 pairs of shoes, shawls, a belt, a shirt and something else. As for Hariz & Nurin, they were excited as they know they won’t be going to that kind of place with ayah (ayah sure malas punya). Arrived home quite late, settled the kids and slept. My parents and I were supposed to go for a morning walk that Sunday morning, but dad was tired, mom & I hardly can open our eyes that morning and it looked like it was going to rain. So we had our morning walk on the bed – continued sleeping. :)

When I woke up later, saw my room like a rumah kontrak! All of us slept in master bedroom. Luckily I have extra mattress that can be used. The kids brushed their teeth and start ordering this and that for breakfast. Bought roti canai, had cakes, some malay kuihs, breads, all sorts of juices. I thank my brother and his wife for teaching the kids table manners. Very tertib diorang makan. After that we played congkak before getting ready to go Putrajaya for another wedding. After wedding, we head to my cousin’s house in Taman Melati for a family get together. Food was yummy, everyone was there. I sent the kids to one utama after that (cukup lah jaga satu malam), and went back home. My parents decided to stay in Gombak for a while, mom wanted to spend some time at Opah’s house. I went out to Pavillion instead. Had some errands to do. Thought of watching Iron Man, but missed the 8pm show. Instead, I had dinner at Pasta Mania. On the way back, bought lots of bread, fetched my parents at Gombak, balik rumah & sleep!

On Monday morning, had discussion with mom on Kakteh’s wedding. She listed out things for me to get, things for me to do, things for me to buy, people I need to meet up….. My 2nd round as wedding planner this year has just begun. She left quite a number of stuff at my house already. (Kakteh : it is your wedding, not mine, so better pay storage fee ye….) By 1030am, mom & dad left my house. They went back to SP that evening with my brother. I cleaned the house after they left, and slept that afternoon. Woke up at 3pm, went to PJ, then to Pavillion and watched Iron Man.

I wish my parents will move back to KL/Seremban soon. They are so far away up north. And I miss them a lot from time to time.

Ohh………

The Long Weekend : Episod Amik Kereta

Everyone knows how annoyed I am with Perodua Service Centre in Keramat for delaying in repairing my car. After I went to see them on 7th May and signed some documents, I was told that the adjuster will come the next day and my car can be ready by the following Monday, 12th May. I called the guy that I’ve been dealing with on 9th, to check on the status. He said he needs more time, only can be ready on Wednesday (additional 2 days) because his system was done. I was already mad at that time, he could have called me earlier and explained, but instead, I have to follow up with him. Adjuster was not informed yet, compartments were not ordered yet. I gave him a piece of my mind and told him if I don’t get the car by Monday, he should be thinking about his job with Perodua.

After that I tried calling the Keramat Office as I wanted to speak with the manager. Tried for 3 hours, no one answered the phone. That annoyed me more. I found perodua website, click on its customer feedback. I wrote a very-very-very-very-very long complaint letter, telling them about the chronology of the incidents, what promises the guy made, how he did not get back to me, the fact that he sat on the case doing nothing, not enough explanation, bla…bla… bla….. After finishing the letter with a very clear note that I will take legal action if my car is not ready on Monday, 12th May by 3pm, and stated that just because I am a lady driver who knows nothing about cars except driving them I shouldn’t be treated like this, I left office and took taxi to Keramat service centre.

I went straight to see the guy, he was attending another client. I just ignored whoever he was attending and demanded my car keys. Told him off that the Adjuster have to come to my office on Monday, do whatever his necessary investigation, then order whatever compartments required, I will send my car on Thursday morning and make sure the car is ready by Friday evening. He said ok, tried to apologies many times which I just ignored (hati sudah boiling mad!!!).

Next morning, I got 3 calls from the service centre. The guy’s superior and the manager spoke to me as they received my complaints from the website. They said they wanted to see me to take pictures of my car and do the necessary as my claim is less than RM5k. Boleh pulak kau nak buat immediately. Hampeh. Unfortunately, I was in PJ at that time attending classes, told them to come on Monday instead at my office. They did, told me to send my car on Thursday and it should be ready the next day evening. I did send my car, told them worst scenario, I can collect on Saturday morning.

Friday evening, around 3pm, I called the guy again. I thought if the car is ready, then I can go and pick up. Guess what he replied instead???
“Kak, hari rabu boleh? kereta tak siap lagi!”

Oh, silap besar!!! Lagi mau delay. I said no way! He passed my call to the contractor, a chinese guy. The contractor said he needs time mau bikin elok2. I told both of them it is a very lame excuse! I insist that I wanted the car next day at 430pm, if not, both of them will get it from me. I immediately called the manager, he said he will make sure the car will be ready next day by 430pm.

I went there next day at 330pm. Brought along my bouncer. In case these guys try to be nasty with me further. The car was being washed, I signed the documents, took my keys. The car was alright, looked very brand new. They washed, polished the interior, gave me some free gifts like fire extingusher, and other stuffs which my bouncer said cost at least RM300-RM500. They put absorber for the engine sound, gave me anti-theft gadgets and another thing for the bumper. They said next time I send car for service, get the staff to fix it.

The guy apologise again.

I went home satisfied!
